The only constant in life is change

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

The initial concept for the location of the Deepwater Diving Monument was for it to stand within a semi-curbed piece of land beside the Harbor.

Some of the existing planting would have been stripped back and the kerbing extended to fully enclose the area.

However a piece of art of this scale (an eight-foot tall diver on a two-foot granite base) demands to be seen from all angles, it also needs to be accessible by all visitors. The intention now is to cut back the raised bed leaving clean, unhindered access for the diver, truly a monument to be proud of.
